ElektraGo

Web & Mobile App Development for Cross-Border FinTech (US & Mexico)

Client Snapshot

  • Industry: Financial Services / FinTech
  • Client: ElektraGo — cross-border fintech for Hispanic users in the US
  • Timeline: Aug 2021 – Ongoing
  • Engagement: ~$400k invested
  • Team: 6–8 teammates (4–6 developers + PMs / Architects / UX/UI)
  • Services: Web & Mobile App Development · Architecture · Cybersecurity / Platform Hardening · Team Augmentation · Technical Recruiting
  • Stack: Android · iOS · Web · Fintech-grade security architecture
  • Platforms delivered: 3 (Android, iOS, Web)

The Problem

Building a fintech product for cross-border flows requires more than shipping screens — it requires correctness, security, and compliance-driven engineering. ElektraGo needed to:

  • Build a product that allows users to open a bank account digitally and send money internationally — with a UX simple enough for mass adoption.
  • Execute in a regulated environment where sponsoring bank clearance is a gating dependency — requiring parallel workstreams and strong delivery discipline.
  • Scale engineering capacity quickly by integrating external talent into the core team while maintaining fintech-grade quality standards.

The Solution

Axented delivered the platform end-to-end from scratch across Android, iOS, and web, combining delivery velocity with maintainable engineering practices.

  • End-to-end platform development: built the full product across 3 platforms simultaneously — Android, iOS, and web — from zero.
  • Hybrid delivery + team augmentation: embedded with the client's existing team and added a multidisciplinary squad (developers, PMs, architects, UX/UI) to accelerate execution.
  • Architecture + cybersecurity hardening: provided senior architecture and security expertise to align the platform with fintech-grade expectations in Mexico and the US for cross-border payments.
  • Recruiting & team-building support: helped the client recruit and assemble much of the technical talent powering the ElektraGo initiative — ensuring continuity and long-term ownership.
  • Operational model: strong project governance using monday.com with daily coordination via Slack + Zoom.

Results

  • 3 platforms delivered: Android, iOS, and web — all built from scratch to production-ready standard.
  • Technology ready ahead of external approvals: the platform reached engineering readiness before sponsoring bank clearance — positioning the product for immediate launch once regulatory approval was granted.
  • $400k+ long-term engagement: ongoing partnership since Aug 2021, integrating delivery and staffing support to sustain momentum across releases.
  • High engineering quality: client highlighted Axented's development quality, technical expertise, and flexibility as key differentiators in a regulated fintech environment.
  • Parallel-track execution: delivery structured to keep technology moving while external banking approvals progressed — zero wasted time on the engineering side.
